Do you KNOW how many times we have primaried RINOS??? COUNTLESS times!!! I have been with the GOP for DECADES, we had the Contract With America, sent Newt and HUGE numbers of GOP freshmen to DC, WELL Newt got DESTROYED all the while the GOP did nothing, those NEW freshmen we sent became members of the swamp quite quickly!! THEN we had the Tea Party and AGAIN sent huge numbers of GOP freshmen to DC only to have them become SWAMP creatures!! NEVER EVER have the GOP stood together in lockstep like the Dems NEVER!! The GOP SUCKS and they are now DEAD TO ME!! I LOVED this POTUS only to have the GOP stab him in the back at EVERY TURN!! The GOP are open borders China loving assholes there is NO REFORMING THE PARTY!!! WE NEED a NEW party of fighters from the ground up with Trump leading the way!!!

Not simple. In case you didn't notice from this last election cycle, our elections are rigged. That would include the primaries, and, given the GOP's reluctance to deal with the problem, it is a safe bet that they have been rigging their own primaries when needed.
