"McConnell proposing to Schumer"

That's no surprise, but it is abominable.

They’re setting an example and showing that they’ll punish (persecute) any president who works for the U.S.A. and American families. They’re working for global, fascist plutocrats (global gangsters).

Thank you for posting. I want to encourage everyone to post their knowledge for all of us. I want to encourage everyone to ask questions. We are all smart, experts at our tasks, but a lot of this history and law is not our information base.

Thank you so much @pierrem15

"Totally up to the Senate. They have done so in the past.

To whom? William W. Belknap resigned before the impeachment vote in the House. They went ahead with impeachment, because he resigned to evade impeachment. President Trump did not resign.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 3, U.S. Constitution. Congress lost the power to impeach once Trump left office.

Dem: That dusty old constitution thing again? Sheesh. I'm getting sick of hearing that legal stuff. Can't we get away with anything?

I agree. The Left has gone from decades of race baiting to just a constant drumbeat of provoking, general baiting, attacking, false accusing. If you WrongVote, you are not just a bad person guilty of racism and white supremacy - you are violent and a domestic terrorist. Exercising your Constitutional right to vote is “violence” under the New Definition of words if you WrongVote. They have become “cries out in pain while stabbing you in the back”. They are intentionally enraging people, an evil behavior, hoping to set off enough shooting spree crazies to enact their goal of disarming America. The Left is filthy, their character is just filth.

Will it happen? Even CNN has said there was no incitement.

Just like the first Impeachment, Pelosi is sitting on the Articles of Impeachment and hasn't sent it to the Senate yet, so technically there isn't anything for the Senate to act upon yet.

The problem is that they can’t possibly expect it to hold up legally. Therefore it is theater, a game they are playing, and it’s McConnel playing along with it and even furthering the game in this article.

I read that Pelosi violated 6 laws with her little impeachment drama? If true, she cannot forward her mess to the Senate, can she? Last I heard, she is reduced to a lame podcast with has been Hillary where the two cried ‘Russia! Russia! Russia!’ for their audience of 3 fat women and 75 cats.

The word between voters everywhere, including local officials, is to refuse and help one another.

Not sure he had the additional penalty applied. Plus, wasn’t his impeachment overturned by SCOTUS? Which is laughable, because their is no power judicial review given by the Constitution to judges over impeachment of judges.

No conviction. Just impeached and tried, with both impeachment and trial occurring after resignation.

Secretary of War Belknap.

Separate, doing a little research on rules of evidence, in part because Bannon’s War Room has been pining to get a trial so evidence of election shenanigans can be aired. I see no way that “the system” will allow evidence of election shenanigans to see the light of day.

“The Constitution requires that the chief justice of the United States preside over impeachment trials for a president, meaning that the chief rules on all motions and questions of evidence and procedure, although he can refer a question to the Senate without ruling. Under the 1986 rules, senators must submit their questions — for House managers, the president’s counsel and any witnesses — in writing, to be read by the chief justice. The House managers and president’s counsel may raise objections to a question, leaving the chief justice to determine whether the question is relevant or redundant. This may prove important: The 1999 rules that McConnell wants to follow provide that the House and president’s counsel must limit their presentations to the “argument from the record.” The Senate parliamentarian will assist the chief justice on procedure and precedent.”
