Gov. Andrew “Grandma Slayer” Cuomo (D-NY) is threatening to sue American taxpayers if we don’t pay for his well-documented ineptitude.
Andrew Cuomo had one overriding message Tuesday as he delivered his annual budget address from New York’s state Capitol: If Washington doesn’t send New York $15 billion as part of a pandemic relief package, he’ll have no choice but to slash public payrolls, cut services and raise taxes on the rich.

I’m sorry to say it, but it seems the only way our permanent welfare, warfare, leftist, social-engineering government will change, is if it is forced by events completely out of their control, namely bankruptcy/insolvency.
I hope the “Grandma Killer” is forced to to what he says, and has to cut his bloated “services”.
Taxing the rich will just advance the rate at which they flee the state.

Oregon hasn’t had a real constitutional election in 20 years.
NY mirrors the nation as a whole. Most of the state is Red. You see pockets of blue in Buffalo, Rochester, Ithaca, and of course, New York City. There are just enough government employees, cronies and dependents to vote Blue, to shout leftist ideology, control the major media, and just enough gerrymandering and vote rigging in a few places to make sure the correct people are elected. Its a system perfected over many decades.
So NY City and socialism thrives on Government and, ironically, skimmings from Wall Street, and the rest of the state declines or - simply departs for elsewhere.

Maybe NY voters did not elect him...truth be known. I think individual states have had their own coups going on for years.
You're right' People in upstate New York are just as patriotic as any in a red state. They are cursed with having to live in the same state as New York City.
I know someone who not long ago lost the family home to back taxes.
One of these days someone ought to take a damn good look at qhats going on with NYS’s land banks.
NY-22 is a perfect example.
I’m continually trying to lobby blue dems to vote to lower fed taxes. They should opt to keep their money in their own states and do what they please with it. Right now, they’re sending much of it to poorer red states via the fed, not to mention pork that congress adds.
I believe some red states double what they receive back for every dollar sent to DC.
