What makes you think the people in your new party are going to be better?
Who is going to be the arbiter of who is allowed to join and who is excluded?
The Tea Party went out and found people with track records and ran them in primaries against RINOs. We won some and lost others. But almost every one of those "good conservatives" became wishy RINOs over time.
How do you propose to prevent that from repeating with your special shiny new party?

Ours is not a parliamentary system, in which a party gets X% of the nationwide vote and thus gets the same X% of the seats in parliament. Ours is a winner-take-all system.
You want to see what a popular ex-President, running as a third party candidate does to an election, take a good look at the 1912 election. Teddy Roosevelt was quite ticked off at his designated successor, Taft, so he tried to capture the Republican nomination (but failed). He should have stopped there. But he was stubborn and had a huge ego, so he formed the Bull Moose Party and ran. He and Taft together got WAY more votes than Woodrow Wilson, but because they split the Republican base, Wilson won 40 of 48 states. As a result, we got the Fed, direct election of Senators and the Income Tax.
Far better for Trump and his supporters to take over the machinery of the Republican Party. That will take a number of years, and the RINOs will fight back (that’s the ONLY thing that they fight, conservatives in their own party, just look at McCain and Romney), but in the end we can and will win if we are determined - without splitting our vote and giving everything on a silver platter to the Communist Democrats.
Exactly right, any conservative that votes for a RINO GOP candidate is a traitor.
