Have heard “huge mess” multiple times now. Once from Chuck Schumer and today, Klain, Biden’s chief of staff in referring to the vaccine rollout.
...that they created last year.
In other words they are already giving excuses for their failures.

Yep. A huge mess and economy in shambles. Science is now saying to open the country. So we will open things back up and hold off on the new tax laws. I have a vaccine. We will roll out the vaccine and open the country. Boom.. 6 months later he looks like a healer. Economy picks up and vaccine rolled out and they take credit for it all. Economy starts to boom again and jobs pick up. He gets credit for it all. I think the stock market knows he is going to do that and maybe why it’s not crashing down...

Remember this was a big talking point in Obama’s reelection campaign in 2012, that Bush had made such a mess in 8 years that Obama needed more than 4 years to clean it up.
I remember when Bill.Clinton became president, and he announced the federal budget deficit was much bigger than he thought, so tax increases were needed.
When Democrat presidents have problems, the problems get blamed on a previous Republican president.
