Just talked to Joe Scheidler. He's in hospital. Please pray. He sounds awful. now I hear multiple organ failure. Pray' pray, pray.
(Rich Freeman is a longtime friend of Joe Scheidler, and he is also sick in the hospital, so prayers for Rich also are welcome)
Praying! I believe Joe will be healed.
When I saw the “multiple organ failure” I looked him up.
He’s 93. People die. I would pray for his family, but not for his body to live in perpetuity.
Prayers for strength and healing
PRayers offered.
God Bless him.
A champion and warrior for the unborn, consistently for decades. Prayers up for Joe and his family. long live the pro-life movement.

Prayer said.

Praying for Joe and Rich.

Really inappropriate post. Why not say nothing? I know, I know - because you have a “right” to post what you want.
Good ‘honkin grief.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Your love is as wide as the oceans, as deep as the sea and as tall as the heavens.
May Your spirit rise like a mighty wave and come and restore Your Servant Joe.
You are the water of life, You are a fresh spring, You are healing rain to all those who are in need. Touch Joe with Your healing hands today.
In Your Holy Name I Pray,
Amen
(I met Joe during my Operation Rescue days. His courage and love for the unborn and their Mom’s was an inspiration to us all.)
Yer right. Unfortunately, you can’t edit posts here. There is a time and place. However, I did make the point regarding his loved ones and the grief. I just lost my father last summer at 92. I had almost no grief for two reasons:
1. It was time for him to die. He was old and I knew the time was coming.
2. As a Christian I expect to see him later and for a very long time, so I’m good.
One of the women I work with just died a couple of days ago in hear early 50’s. That is a completely different situation, as is the death of a 20 year old or a child.
The death of a person in their nineties is a different thing and requires a different response. That is, a remembrance rather than “prayers for a complete recovery”. Frankly, I see the latter as inapropriate. I do pray for peace for the individual, though.
BTW, not to put too fine a point on it, if I thought his family members were here, that would be different.
But I don’t believe they are.
My apologies for being abrupt. I should not have sent what I did, or if I was going to, sent it via Freepmail.
I am sorry for the loss of your father.
Any one who has had the privilege of meeting Mr Scheidler has known and received his encouragement in practical faith. Commend him into the welcoming arms of his Lord, and into the sacred fellowship of heaven. There he will exchange his fedora and trench coat for a crown and a white robe...
