State school standards banish lessons about World War I, II, Holocaust, Civil War New priorities include 'awareness' of LGBTA+ community, 'systemic racism'

New standards proposed by the Minnesota Department of Education would banish lessons about World War I, World War II, the Holocaust, the Civil War, the American Revolution, communism, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.

Replacing those significant history topics will be "systemic racism," how democracy has "excluded certain groups," an "awareness" of "the LGBTQ+ community" and how the disenfranchisement of freed blacks during Reconstruction connects to "persistent discrimination and inequity" today.

John Hinderaker at the Powerline blog explained that under Minnesota law, the state's Department of Education establishes standards for K-12 public schools in a number of categories.

"The benchmarks for each category are revised by committee every 10 years," he wrote. "This year, the Social Studies standard is being revised. The committee undertaking the revision, as you would expect in the Tim Walz administration, is hard left.

He said the first draft was "shocking" and thousands of comments from citizens expressing concern have been dismissed out of hand.

The new standards call for students to describe "the tactics used by the United States government to claim indigenous and Mexican land, including but not limited to an analysis of the ideology of Manifest Destiny and its relationship to whiteness, Christianity, and capitalism; and analyze the strategies used by Native Americans and Mexicans to respond to U.S. settler colonialism."

Hmmm. Guess the football club needs to change their names to the Viqueens? What a sad commentary. Perhaps "Someone" is sending us a message?

Yet another reason to get your kids OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS. This leftist recast of the curriculum is nothing short of an indoctrination plan to codify immorality and instill yet more group-think. It is brainwashing, pure and simple.
We are watching the destruction of America play out before our very eyes.

Oh my, basically creating a market for home schooling like never before. This is could likely foster more and more people simply wanting the teaching and learning to come to them, as opposed to the monolithic public school boards.

At its core, the great reset is very Orwellian.

And the indoctrination continues to accelerate.

Rush Limbaugh used to refer to “young skulls full of mush”, a perfect medium into which an inoculation may be placed that turns that mush into a boiling ferment totally incapable of critical thinking.

Just what we need, a bunch of young whooping yahoos that knows no discipline and no history of what once was. The perfect memory hole.

Home schooling bump.

Communist indoctrination of children is child abuse.

The children are the cultural Marxists’ future. Have been for many decades.

Our children have been specifically targeted a century by our pubic schools, news, media, churches and now social media.

We had John Dewey’s early 1900’s Progressive (Marxist) anti-home schooling influence, followed by The Frankfurt School’s mid-1900’s social Marxist plan for children, then Hollywood’s 1950’s communist influences, then NEA’s No God push in our schools.

Then, the 1960’s CPUSA push of college youts for war protests, drug use and wanton fornication, then the 1980’s sitcoms ridiculing parents, then the 1990’s queer push, then the 2000’s self-esteem facade. In the 2010's, socialism is good.

Most recently, MSM, SJW groups and social media are pushing "social justice" and stirring them to riot and destroy -- the anarchy needed before stepping in as heros to "save America" (by electing Biden-Harris).

Now, they're demonizing America-loving patriots as insurrectionists, to silence and isolate us.

This cancer spread uncontrolled, and is now metastasized.

home schooling will be outlawed.

Education would return to what it was in the Dark Ages, when medical students used to have to break the law to get corpses to study.

Only people who _really_ wanted to learn would get an education.

Everyone else would be ignorant.

Thank goodness my kids are grown.
Today, I’d work 2,3 jobs to ensure kids would be in a private school. And make sure of the curriculum.

How can a tiny sliver of the population get so much control?

Proves again that old saying...

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

They took control of the media first.

It likely won’t be reported but you can bet that, after persistent protests, the Minnesota Dept. of Education will quietly slip holocaust studies back into their woke curriculum. But WW1 and 2, the Revolution and Civil War (except for slavery) are definitely not on the course list.

Well until “they” outlaw homeschooling. Religious reasons? “They” won’t allow that reason/excuse for long. Not a pretty picture.

You can likely see a lot of real learning going underground. Just like during the Prohibition era, people had illegal stills and speakeasies and rum running and drinking cruises to evade the Eighteenth Amendment.

Curb me if I'm wrong but,,,, isn't that why there is a PTA? A group that should be addressing issues such as this? Oh! That's right, I'm 73,,,, too old school to be of any value anymore.

I STAND CORRECTED

Rush Limbaugh used to refer to “young skulls full of mush”,
= = = = = = = = =

This mask fiasco is a perfect example...

USED to be that either the young or old would ‘protest’ anything new or out of the norm.

Now with the ‘young skulls full of mush’ properly indoctrinated and the ORIGINAL chicken little fear mongering that declared anyone over 65 would surely die if they didn’t hunker down NOW and better stay away from your grandkids etc etc etc

When they had the ‘geezers’ convinced, they introduced the masks as a ‘semi cureall’ so now the oldsters figured wear a mask, visit the grandkids etc etc etc.

I figured the logjam broke when ‘they’ had convinced us that Paper & Plastic would no longer be readily available- so - in true American Capitalism - entrepreneurs came up with several variations of ‘permanent’ shopping bags.

THEN, as if by magic the ‘permanent’ bags were declared ‘unsafe’???? so the use was either suspended or banned (I did check recently and at least the checkout clerks at my ‘places’ said bring it on).

When ‘we’(collectively) didn’t storm the ‘courthouse steps’ and demand our money back for the ‘permanent bags’, ‘they’ hit us with the ‘mandatory’ face masks and - instead of a huge WTF? - people fell in line.

Notice they have been ‘quietly’ telling us the numbers are going up YET, in the past week NYC and Chicago has been saying business has to get back to normal and the Gov of VA has declared schools should reopen.

Guess the real MIRACLE is Biden (or ABT -Anyone But Trump) being sworn in...

I do believe ‘they’ will try and control us with the masks though .. for our own good....

Like when seat belts were first offered as a safety option and became federally mandated.

Fed didn’t have to mandate seat belts, all Insurance companies had to do was not honor non seat belt wearer claims and have the FED ‘tighten up’ on Insurance.
