It’s a large building. She may not have heard any of that.
She was posting videos of the event on line while she was in the building so there is that. Which is why she lost her job...the hospital saw those.
I was at the Capitol building that day (never went inside) but I can tell you that I did not see any violence whatsoever. Certainly there was a lot of loud chanting, that you would normally hear at any protest. But no threats of violence like you would hear at a BLM rally or some such.
Also, cell coverage was near non-existent. I could not pull up anything on social media on my phone so I did not hear about the shooting of that woman until I was on my way back to the Metro to head home. I didn't even know that anybody was actually INSIDE the Capitol. I was shocked to find out later that hundreds of people were walking around in there. I did not get any indication of that from my vantage point. But I could see clearly all the people filling the bleachers and trying to get up on the Capitol steps.
