My wife was a great RN until she retired 5 years ago at age 76.
Our grand daughter has one more semester before she becomes an RN. Since early last fall, she has been working in an ICU at a good hospital. That hospital has an excellent reputation and many RNs and Doctors in the ICU are also with top medical schools. It is basically a covid~19 ICU
Both, my wife and our GD separately have decided to wait on the vaccine to be out and used for a few months before considering being vaccinated. Our G D said basically every Dr and RN working in the ICU are going to wait.
They discussed their decisions together for the first time last Saturday. 50 plus years difference in age and GD works on the E. Coast, and we live in California and they came to the same decision.
I’m scheduled to get my vaccination, about 2 weeks from now on advice from my personal physician and cardiac doctor.
