He wants governments to have powers not social media companies

Very true. And that's the point I've been trying to make. There's no good solution here, either way, control over digital media will be consolidated, either via government, or multi-national conglomerate, name your poison!

Only solution really is decentralization in transfer of technology into a form of distributism.

Yes I cannot believe I am encouraging distributism, but what I really want is private distributism, and not something done through government.

The Market needs to have monopolies busted, or there needs to be more competition.

I'll take the private sector. Because history has shown that firms don't stay on top forever while govt can set the forever-rules.

It may be hard to fathom now, but I predict Alphabet, FB, Appple, and Twitter will ultimately go the way of IBM, GE, GM, and Netscape. Indeed, only a few years ago I.E. was THE browser after crushing Netscape, now it's an after-thought (and it is a matter of time before Chrime and Safari are displaced by Brave etc).

Yes, in the intermediate-term the market cap of "big media" is stunning, but as the video shows success is fleeting. Treating 80MM+ customers - and what they hold dear to them - like cockroaches isn't a smart business plan.
