How The Right Can Organize Like The Left
The American Conservative ^ | David Hines

Posted on 01/16/2021 8:04:36 AM PST by BlackAdderess

The left understands that ideas mean nothing without power. Instead of complaining, we should follow their lead—starting small, but with ambitious goals.

David Hines has a professional background in international human rights work with a focus on recovery from forced disappearances and mass homicide. He lives in Los Angeles.

There is a lot to unpack in this article from November 4, but what this man has written looks very timely as it contains an action plan that anyone can employ to make the world a saner place. Its a scary read, but we live in scary times.

Actual Material Loss

The Author is on the money with this thought. The Left understands this concept and accomplishes it. The right pretends to be righteous (in reality they don't care about us, we the people are righteous and foolish for being so) and that is why we lose.

There are no rules in politics, the only thing that matters is the scoreboard.

Need a new party. GOP is dead. The only one who can get a new party started ‘quickly’ is Prez Trump. I think he may be opened to that. IMO

cat herding is easier than getting conservatives all on the same page. Even the stolen election is incomprehensible to many who think the next election will change things

Forming new parties is a lot more difficult than stealing the GOP back from the Uniparty. They have no boots on the ground and rely on contributions from corporate elites, who are currently cutting those contributions.

We can do this.

The left would love it if Trump started a 3rd party. They wouldn’t even need to steal elections for the next 2 decades with the right divided. If you don’t have fair elections voting no longer matters.

Part of the problem is that we conservatives don’t know how to riot. On one side of the capitol were a few hundred Antifa radicals dressed up in red hats causing all kinds of mayhem.

Unreported were the hundreds of thousands of actual conservatives on the other side loudly, angrily and peacefully protesting the stolen election. Hundreds of thousands of us.

The author provides a concrete method that anyone sick of being herded into learned helplessness, can employ. At the very least, doing what this guy says will give people something to do rather than watching the sad spectacle of Banana Republic Washington DC as it continues to plot ways to deny representation to the citizens it is supposed to represent.

I think the repub party is bigger than any of us realize. The GOP gets more than half of donations to any repub candidate. I’d bet there’s hundreds of well paid people we know nothing of. What do the Schlapps actually do aside from the occasional foxnews appearance? And what does the gop do with the leftover money after paying themselves? Spend millions in primaries to make sure the likes of McConnell and Graham get re-elected.

First, shut down, FB, Twitter, and all the other Fascist Corporate entities....

The only place for conservatives to "organize" to defeat this monstrosity is ON THEIR KNEES (in prayer).

There is certainly wisdom in recognizing that government tends to hear squeaky (or rioting) wheels more often than well behaved people. But at some point rioting backfires because people eventually label you as unreasonable and then they start plotting how to end you.

The Democrats have boots on the ground as well as corporate contributions. The Republicans have relied on wave elections, ads, and no permanent party infrastructure to hold them accountable, they have no boots on the ground as a party, they just keep asking for money. This is not working for us, I believe you will agree.

Not so sure, the number of Rinos in the Senate and the House to Primary are extremely high and very time consuming plus you still have the Dominion machines to contend with. IMO

The left has a lot more money and a network of non-profits set up that get huge donations from people like Gates. They must have thousands of non-profits with some donating to others. Many billions a year going every which way with some coming from fedgov pork. Yes, conservatives money ends up in leftist’s hands via grants. Nancy pork.

From what I’ve seen the outreach to corporate donors is indeed extensive, but there is nothing where voters are concerned outside of bombing everyone with ads and direct mail every two to four years. There is nothing on the grassroots level outside of some clubs that are isolated from each other. The Central Committee is supposed to fulfill the function of organizing a precinct organization, but they don’t do it outside of maybe coordinating various campaign volunteers to cover polling places. There is no organization on the grassroots level.

If You’re A Donor

If you’re a serious donor, to one politician or many, don’t put quite so much funding into TV commercials for national politicians. Instead, put money into building infrastructure where you live, with your local party and local activists.

Your money can provide cost-effective on-ramps for solid new candidates to get their foot in the door. When it comes to activism, forget about giving tons of money to big national groups; give modest amounts to a few local groups. And tell your fellow donors to do the same. Remarkably small amounts of cash can support an activist culture that not only feeds the party but creates stronger conditions on the ground

Like the brand new buses/coaches that BLM has? Atifa being able to go anywhere in the country on short notice? Those people don't work so they even get lodging and food paid for. Shield and skateboards too and we can't forget commercial fireworks.

We are not organized, they are organized. They are also insane and we are not. Not being insane is a point on our side. The Left has more of an uphill climb than we do, yet look at where we are today. Its down to organization.

More like office space, supplies, meeting rooms, stuff like that to help the people who are trying to help on a shoestring budget. Recognition might also be nice to encourage people to help.
