Pompeo is about as genuinely anti-communist as they come.
He spent his early military career as a young Lieutenant as part of 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment’s “Border Legion” in the late 80’s
M1 tank commander. Cav trooper. I find him hard to dislike.
He’s good because he’s not a war monger but he negotiates from a position of strength. Also, he seems to have a plan (obviously coordinated with Trump) and just quietly goes for it.
I imagine Biden’s SOS will devote himself to undoing all the progress made by Pompeo.
