I have no doubt that they had quotes from the internet saying that.
But they had no plan to do so. They had no weapons, and knew the house and senate would be heavily guarded. Only one person even tried to break into that room, and they were shot and killed.
Nobody else DID anything that would suggest deliberate murder. Isn’t it enough to get them for the crimes they actually committed, that instead we have to take every rant and assume they intended to carry it out, even though they didn’t have the means to do so.
If a person posts that they are going to commit an armed robbery, and then they show up unarmed at the bank, mull around for a while, grab a monitor off a desk, and try to run out the door, we don’t charge them with armed robbery.
Not 1 protester who got into th capital was armed. If they had that intent, the cops would have been shot.
