Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced Wednesday that he has issued civil investigative demands (CIDs) to Facebook, Twitter, Google, Amazon Web Services, and Apple following the Big Tech monopolies’ most recent wave of politically motivated crackdowns on President Donald Trump and his supporters. In a statement released by Paxton’s office, the Texas AG stated that the CIDs issued this week “are asking the companies for their policies and practices regarding content moderation and, more specifically, for information related to Parler, a social media application recently terminated or blocked by Google, Amazon, and Apple.”
“First Amendment rights and transparency must be maintained for a free online community to operate and thrive,” Paxton said in the statement. “However, the seemingly coordinated de-platforming of the President of the United States and several leading voices not only chills free speech, it wholly silences those whose speech and political beliefs do not align with leaders of Big Tech companies.”

I mean, these online companies have been granted special privileges, something called Section 203, so at a minimum, they should respect our 1st Amendment Rights, RIGHT?
It's high time our States join the fight in clawing back our rights guaranteed by the Constitution, which an out of control "Feral" beast of a government in Washinton is trampling on.
States must assume their Constitution responsibility to act as bulwarks between an oppressive central government and the individual citizen. If not, then what we are now seeing in the news, federal agents hunting down and imprisoning individuals for political reasons, will be our fate, as it is under ALL oppressive and authoritarian regimes.
If not, our words will not only get us banned from some government-protected big tech but eventually cause us to be thrown into prison to be brutally tortured or even disappeared.
I encourage everyone to petition their state officials to fight for our freedom against a now oppressive and tyrannical central government in Washington, while we still can before we as individuals must do so single-handedly. .
Its reasurring to know that there remains at least a few true patriots.
Didn’t a Fed prosecutor or the FBI announce some sham invesitgation of Paxton last year one day after he said something about voter fraud?
Ping.
Oh yeah, they’ve been hammering him since Paxton began to looking into voting fraud.
Texas should secede.
Texas should openly invite patriotic online business to headquarter in Texas and build up their infrastructure there. Texas can pass laws that will make the shenanigans of Amazon and Google extremely expensive for them to attempt on Texas based business. Texas could turn into the Switzerland of a free internet.
iJesus.if any state will be able to cut ties with the mothship, Texas will lead the Exodus.
Texas has 2 YEARS to make some very tough choices...after that, it will be Democrat.
They do it in New or ALL the time.
They do it in New York or ALL the time.
Its reasurring to know that there remains at least a few true patriots.
He’s that and much more........I love my AG Paxton!!
I envy you.
I’m stuck in Michigan. Need I say more.
There’s no place like Texas.....we just need to be on our toes and beware of some of these “transplants” espousing Demonrat tendencies........look out for spots of Demons running for local races, etc. We already know Austin (which is the liberal boil on the butt of Texas) and most big cities (not sure if Ft. Worth has surrendered) but after this steal and after 2 years of the lech, the laughing hyena and Peelousey/Schmucker running the show, we’ll be on our toes to make sure these demons don’t spread to our glorious state.
Remember the Alamo.
Yes!!!
God bless Texas and our AG ❤️
Remember the Alamo.
God bless you.......lol
Remember the Alamo, and DJT!
Amen!!
