With These Figures, It's No Shock Why Republicans Got Swept by Democrats in Georgia

After all the vote totals were analyzed, it’s no shock why Democrats swept the GOP in the Georgia runoffs. Comparing Election Day 2020 to the January 5, 2021 runoffs, there was a massive dip in Republican voter turnout. Some 500,000 Georgia voters decided to stay home with Republican districts seeing the bigger declines in turnout. Jon Ossoff beat Republican incumbent Sen. David Perdue by 55, 354 votes. Raphael Warnock booted Kelly Loeffler by 93,659 votes.

Due to the lack of GOP turnout, Georgia has two Democratic senators. Sorry, twohorribleDemocratic senators. One wholly owned by China, allegedly, and another with a whole host of issues. Our own Reagan McCarthy ventured down to the Peach State multiple times to cover the situation on the ground. The election in its closing days hit numerous roadblocks. For starters, Perdue couldn’t do final get-out-the-vote events due to one of his staffers testing positive for COVID a week from Election Day. He had to quarantine. Second, Mitch McConnell decided to gum up the works for $2,000 COVID relief checks, which had majority support. After months of grueling economic pain due to the lockdown regime, Congress decided to derail a relief bill because the checks…were too big. At the same time, President Trump shoulders some of the blame for going after Georgia Republicans more than the Democrats. The lingering allegations of voter fraud, some legitimate some not so much, cast further doubts on Republican voters who did not trust the system. The 2020 presidential race was stolen, so why should they participate in the Senate runoffs was the mindset here.

I’m not saying I agree with that, but I’ll bet that what happened.

I heard a ton of people saying "I'm gonna vote - but it won't matter"

Don’t worry, Democrats will prove to the American public why they can’t lead.

Spot on. I expect we'll lose our energy independence, the economy will take a tumble, and our enemies will be emboldened by Democrat weakness. Still, the libs won't care. Orange Man Bad! (best said in a hysterical-type of voice).

As a long-time Georgia resident and voter, this analysis is bunk.....

Perdue was a good candidate, Loeffler was OK..... both were supported by a broad breadth of the the Republicans in Georgia.

The get out the vote was strong.....

The Steal the Vote was stronger...... The Gap Tooth Ghettopotamus (Abrams) with the aid of the SOS and the Governor was able to stuff the ballot boxes due to an illegal “Consent Decree” signed by the SOS......

The election was doomed before it began.....

Any analysis using official numbers is worthless.

But, but, they’re OFFICIAL!

Scapegoats? Go read the many statements attorney Lin Wood made on his Twitter feed, and speeches he made at various demonstrations throughout Georgia in the weeks and days leading up to the Georgia run-off; and - to a lesser degree, or with not the same level of raving lunacy - so too were the remarks of attorney Sidney Powell. They are condemned by their own words. It was not without good reason that both Wood and Powell were publicly excised from their association with Trump’s legal team.

Why was Brian Kemp so dead set against a ballot audit ??

Could it have been that fender bender his daughters boy friend had.

If they weren't going to face up to and deal with the election fraud that made the creepy old idiot the "winner", then it wouldn't make any difference whether we got two more establishment Senators in Washington.

The worst things that Biden will do to us cannot be stopped by two Senators from Georgia.

Our choice was to either overturn the election fraud, or watch the nation go into a major crises that two Senators would be helpless to prevent or ameliorate.

Republicans once again made the absolutely wrong choice by letting the Democrats and Republican traitors (Kemp, Raffesnberger) get away with it.

And what, pray tell, do you think two Rino Senators from Georgia were going to do for us?

Could they stop Biden from opening the borders and flooding us with illegal immigrants? Were they going to fix vote fraud in the Swing states?

The things which matter can't be solved by two Establishment style Senators in Washington DC.

Our choice was fix vote fraud, or watch everything get destroyed because we didn't fix vote fraud.

Two Senators are deck chairs on the Titanic.

Mitch McConnell has been a backstabbing snake anyways. If any good comes of this, it is the loss of power to him.

Would you want to be shown your work product was crap and that you allowed it to happen on your watch AND it could be proven you were complicit?

Heres what happened. Georgians saw the biggest presidential election ever was blatantly stole by Democrats with virtually no pushback from Republicans. Naturally they figured what’s the use of voting?

I guess Lin Wood’s ‘boycott’ of election worked JUST FINE, giving the Dems complete control of DC.

Thank you Lin...I’m with you - the last thing I wanted were people in DC who may have slowed down the Democrats.

Yep. These were absolutely winnable. Both of those seats would have been held by 2-3% points if the “all is lost” coward crowd hadn’t thrown in the towel.

Yes, and I’m sure there would not have been any fraud if the numbers were closer. I think Georgia learned its lesson on fraud with Trump and would not try to cheat again. Just curious, what color are the clouds in your world?
