With These Figures, It's No Shock Why Republicans Got Swept by Democrats in Georgia

After all the vote totals were analyzed, it’s no shock why Democrats swept the GOP in the Georgia runoffs. Comparing Election Day 2020 to the January 5, 2021 runoffs, there was a massive dip in Republican voter turnout. Some 500,000 Georgia voters decided to stay home with Republican districts seeing the bigger declines in turnout. Jon Ossoff beat Republican incumbent Sen. David Perdue by 55, 354 votes. Raphael Warnock booted Kelly Loeffler by 93,659 votes.

Due to the lack of GOP turnout, Georgia has two Democratic senators. Sorry, twohorribleDemocratic senators. One wholly owned by China, allegedly, and another with a whole host of issues. Our own Reagan McCarthy ventured down to the Peach State multiple times to cover the situation on the ground. The election in its closing days hit numerous roadblocks. For starters, Perdue couldn’t do final get-out-the-vote events due to one of his staffers testing positive for COVID a week from Election Day. He had to quarantine. Second, Mitch McConnell decided to gum up the works for $2,000 COVID relief checks, which had majority support. After months of grueling economic pain due to the lockdown regime, Congress decided to derail a relief bill because the checks…were too big. At the same time, President Trump shoulders some of the blame for going after Georgia Republicans more than the Democrats. The lingering allegations of voter fraud, some legitimate some not so much, cast further doubts on Republican voters who did not trust the system. The 2020 presidential race was stolen, so why should they participate in the Senate runoffs was the mindset here.

Handing over control of the Senate to the Democrats isn't going to stop vote fraud either, and likely will result in more leftist judges who strike down any legislative efforts to limit it.

Two Senators would have gained us two years. I see the positive side of scaring the sh*t out of everybody right now.

Worrying about two Senators when election fraud just stole the Presidency (which has far more power to f*** us up than does a mostly even Senate) is an example of "Penny wise and Dollar foolish."

We would not be worrying about Judicial appointments if we had held the line on election fraud. We also would have likely won those two Senate seats if we had held the line on election fraud.

I do not want to read here that we must re-elect McConnell, Lindsey Graham or any other of these traitorous fools so we can gain the Senate. Nor any other GOP Senator (unless they are willing admit the election was stolen).

Because in the end, they are Dems anyways. What difference does it make. It is better to lose the seat to the Dems and get rid of these traitors.

Not disagreeing with any of your statements, as all are factual. However this does not remove culpability from Wood and Powell. Their statements, both written on Twitter, and voiced on conservative media news outlets, only further increased the resentment and doubt among the Trump base.

Of course, now you need to answer me this: How did not voting in the GA run-off achieve any good outcome for Americans in handing both houses of Congress to the leftists - who are, by orders of magnitude, more destructive to this republic than any of your listed grievances with the GOP?

Will this also be the acceptable voter tactic for the 2022 midterms and in the 2024 presidential election?

IMO, if this attitude is repeated in 2022 and 2024, then you may truly and permanently kiss the American Republic goodbye.

Look, I don’t disagree that Perdue and Loffler were less than stellar candidates - but you cannot discount the demotivating effects that Wood and Powell had on Trump’s voting base. Can we at least agree on that point?

The actual culprit here is the Republican Party itself. I guess we need to add this to the GOP instruction manual: "Do not piss on your voter base for the eight weeks leading up to an election."

“”””Or, perhaps better questions are: How many Republicans did not vote because they were betrayed by the GOP from the ground up? Betrayed by a Republican state legislature that refused to investigate and change the processes of voter fraud in the state, and Republican federal legislators who abandoned the President and his supporters and told us to stand down.”””

How did not voting in the GA run-off achieve any good outcome for Americans in handing both houses of Congress to the leftists ...

Please, I've heard this argument for years and it's worn quite thin.

In 2020 the Democrats stole the White House --- the Republicans drove the getaway car.

I will no longer waste my time trying to save and/or preserve today's GOP. In fact, I will work to defeat and replace it.

If - and that’s a BIG “if” - Trump decides to create a new political party, it will not be a disappointment in my eyes, nor would I shed tears for the GOP. I would very likely join the endeavor. However, I would not take any bets on its success at winning a three-way split - and with God-only-knows how many other factions that might decide to enter the fray.

As I said all along. The Deplorables showed establishment RINOs that we not only can hit back when they stab us in the back, we WILL.

It is vital that we take out the entire Republican leadership in Georgia.....Kemp, Ratburger, the lieutenant governor....in the next primary in two years. I could not in good conscience vote for any of them in a general election.

The next order of business is to replace Warnock with Doug Collins in the Senate. It will take longer to flush Ossoff down the toilet where he belongs but RINOs are enemy #1.

Exactly. The RINOs were complicit. They were perfectly willing to go along with the Democrats’ plan to commit massive election fraud to get rid of Trump. They deliberately stabbed us in the back.

Governor’s Kemp and Ducey and their administrations. Bill Barr. Look how quickly establishment RINOs were to say “nothing to see here” in the face of obvious fraud. Look how they bitterly opposed any efforts to investigate the fraud. Notice how all the federalist society members from Cris Wray to his judicial nominees were totally unwilling to lift a finger to help stop the steal. Notice how they were so happy to have picked up a few seats in the house. Notice how pissed off they were that their two RINOs in the Senate from Georgia lost. Meanwhile they sure didn’t seem very upset about losing the White House.

RINOs are the enemy. They must be rooted out and destroyed before we can then wheel around and take on the Democrats.

But 100,000 did, and that was all it took.

Hello. I assumed you were working under some hope that Trump would still be president, invoking the fact that foreign influence altered our elections, thereby implementing martial law to keep his office. I don’t see any chance of that happening with everything I have seen from the top military people.

It’s over. It isn’t socialism we are going to get, it is the corporate oligarchical state, run by select global billionaires. They will be pushing you to sign up with them, or whither on the vine. Fortunately, I don’t think it is going to work out well for them long term.

What are you seeing from the top military people? Do you know who the top military people are? Because I do and I’m not seeing or hearing a peep out of them.

Trump is running a sting operation. Disinformation is part of the strategy like “ there will be a smooth transition “.
