People who receive a COVID-19 vaccine should continue to wear a mask and practice social distancing after their first and second dose, according to Indiana physician Mandy Armitage, MD.
Patients should continue to follow COVID-19 safety protocols after receiving their first vaccine dose as it is possible they could get sick with the disease in between doses, Dr. Armitage wrote in an article for prescription discount company GoodRx's website.
Dr. Armitage also wrote that while COVID-19 vaccines are expected to be effective, they're not infallible and it usually takes recipients' bodies at least a few weeks to gain immunity after they receive a vaccine.
"Experts still aren't sure if the vaccines will prevent spread of the infection. The vaccine studies looked at how well the vaccines prevented symptomatic disease, but not asymptomatic infections or transmission," she wrote. "In other words, if you're vaccinated, you are more likely to be protected from severe disease, but you could still carry it and pass it along to others."
“lucky charms”
What do you think the masks are?
Patriots need to work with their respective state lawmakers to amend their state constitutions to make state health official a popularly elected office.
Patriots also need to amend their state constitutions to put time limits on quarantines, including social distancing, masks etc.
State constitutions also need to be amended so that time-limited by law quarantines automatically trigger special recall elections for governors, mayors and state healthcare officials.
Finally, state constitutions should be amended to require politicians running for any state government office to first escrow a refundable “recall deposit” which fully pays for recall election, the amount of deposit determined by law.
SUBMIT you peons...SUBMIT!!!
The problem is that probably no one has sufficiently studied the viral load of the infected between steps 2 and 3. Are you chock full of the virus and spreading it like crazy or does the immune system destroy the virus when you are well below the dangerously infectious level?
The vaccine had a reduction in symptomatic cases versus the control group, but I doubt they were measuring the viral load on an hour by hour basis.
So, I’ve had covid, should I still wear a mask? Yes. Do I need a vaccine for a disease that I’ve already had? Yes. Do I need to wear a mask after I get vaccinated for a disease I already had? Yes, it’s science. Literally 10’s of millions of Americans are having this conversation.
A mask and distancing will always provide protection however small so why stop?
We need to start wearing masks and cowboy hats like the old westerns. It is time for ridicule.
George Washington may have recovered from his bout of quincy had it not been for his doctors believing in the blood letting practice of the day which was ultimately found to weaken patients, not help them.
The mutated strains should keep us under wraps for a few more years—then they will come up with another excuse.
The Freepers who thought the plandemic would end post-Trump can confess the errors of their ways now...
;-)
During a Congressional hearing some months back, Dr Robert Redfield, CDC director, in a very dramatic display, held up a face mask and declared: “This is effective as a vaccine!!”
So there, those vaccines are superfluous, anyway. We have it straight from the big guy (one of them).
Keep wearing the mask, because the purpose of the mask was never to stop COVID, it was to signal your willingness to fall in line with tyrannical government dictates like a good little citizen.
“I’m pretty sure there has been NO evidence of asymptomatic people spreading this disease.”
The studies I’ve seen indicate asymptomatic transmission is on the order of 0.5-1% of all transmission. And that assumes the contract tracing was 100% accurate. Certainly asymptomatic people are very low risk.
What causes a genuine problem are people who have mild symptoms but who insist on going around in public anyways. In their defense, COVID symptoms are indistinguishable from standard allergy problems since COVID is usually so mild.
Hrmph. Sounds like you have an imbalance in your humors. Too much choler, I reckon!
My sister is a die-hard leftist who was ready to volunteer for the vaccine—but the mixed messages (like the article we are discussing) made an impression on her.
I didn’t have to say a word.
We actually had an intelligent conversation on the whole issue the other day....
She figured it out due to the combination of:
—The mysterious “disappearance” of the flu this winter
—Many different vaccines which were incompatible with each other
—Claims that the vaccines could handle all new mutations (obviously absurd)
—Two shots required
—Nobody she knew was seriously ill from the virus
—Too short a period to determine any side effects from the vaccine.
—Too blatant .gov and mass media propaganda pushing the vaccine
For once we can say: “Everyone saw this coming.”
So what is the point of the vaccine if we can’t go back to a normal life? I swear they want to keep us gagged forever and dependent and begging for scraps from the government!
Additionally, any shutdowns or restrictions of businesses require a complete GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN WITHOUT PAY!!!!
They already have stated the vaccine is only good for this year since viruses mutate.
The mutation story is already out there.
It will take most of the year to get millions vaccinated.
Then, they can start over
SIEG HEIL! HEIL HITLER! HAIL FAUCI!! HEIL GATES!!!
