Kinzinger: ‘Was Not a Hard Decision’ to Impeach, We Didn’t Need to Look for Evidence, ‘It Was Brought Right to Us’

On Wednesday’s “PBS NewsHour,” Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) stated that voting to impeach President Donald Trump wasn’t a difficult decision for him to make, and that “the evidence was not something we had to go discover. It was brought right to us on the 6th.”

Ostensibly, these people who were in attendance at the joint session should have recused themselves from voting on the articles. Nowhere in any legal theory does it say its just for the victim to directly try the accused. They are emotional about the situation since they are directly involved. This isn’t some friend-of or relative-of victim situation, these people would be considered the actual victims. How is this even allowed or given credence? Victims ALWAYS want to lash out at the people they think are responsible. Its not even a question so its part of our legal rights\legal system. Perhaps I am not articulating it properly... can someone help?
