The dirty secret is that companies donating to politicians is a protection racket. Hillary was a master at this. She would criticize some industry until they handed over big, sweaty wads of campaign cash, then she would shut up. If you don’t donate to these sleazy crooks, they target your business. People complain about lobbyists, but they are there both to buy influence and protection. DC is worse than the mafia because it has more power.
