The Montana House will soon vote on legislation to defend self-defense rights by eliminating state government-mandated gun free zones at Montana university campuses and other schools on public property.

The self-defense legislation, House Bill 102, is sponsored by Rep. Seth Berglee (R-Dist. 58).

HB 102 is presented as an Act “to enhance the safety of people by expanding their legal ability to provide for their own defense by reducing or eliminating government-mandated places were only criminals are armed and where citizens are prevented from exercising their fundamental right to defend themselves and others.”

I can however see a bunch of Communists banding up to take

Because criminals, by definition, follow the law.

Stand by for “blood in the streets!” hysteria from the left. Same thing as Georgians heard before The Safe Carry Protection Act of 2014 passed. Same as we always hear any time a state removes restrictions. Wasn’t true then; won’t be true now.

If an individual is too dangerous to be trusted with a firearm, they need to be in prison or in an institution.

I assume the prohibition from carrying in the state capitol and government buildings remains? Why?

I have got an idea. Let’s propose and pass our own version of Swiss government gun regulations: that every citizen is armed, with a fully automatic weapon and ammunition. Those armed citizens become members of the new Citizens’ Militia. That will be our way of ensuring that 2nd Amendment Rights are not only protected, but enforced!

Would be an absolute smash in the faces of the idiots now illegally in power. What a hoot!
