Yep- but apparently these companies don’t care what anyone thinks-
“Oh wow Breitbart, I was talking about that yesterday, that site has been totally commandeered by the left, at least their comment section.”
Some sites let a leftish company monitor their comments section.

So, here’s a suggestion: Be selective and be sure to inform the target(s) of your changed practice along with your rationale.
The only target I have, and will inform them why I’m no longer ‘buying what they’re selling”, is the Republican Party.
