As Trump loyalists stormed the U.S. Capitol last week, conservative-leaning social media sites like Parler and Gab erupted with talk of revolution and civil war, with trending hashtags like #StormTheCapitol.
Experts tell ABC News that services like Parler -- whose app has now been removed from the leading app stores -- helped create echo chambers for violence and extremist views, then provided a platform for some of the coordination of last week's attack.
And now that the tech industry is moving to crack down on toxic rhetoric, many of those voices have gone in search of alternative platforms.
"We've seen this coming for a while," Ben Decker, founder and CEO of Memetica, a company that provides intelligence and risk advisory services regarding harassment, disinformation, and violent extremism, told ABC News. "The volume of stochastic violence on Parler and similar platforms has always been high; it just took the horrific actions of last week for any tech companies to respond."

That rationale also says: if some nut shouts “fire!” in a crowded theater, you must shut down the use of that theater’s air forever.
So we cannot have a place of our own to freely talk. And we cannot freely talk on government social media like Facebook and Twitter?
Basically, we are being told we may not speak without monitors who shut us down the minute the party dislikes what we say.
They find a justification, and then eliminate their opponent. They are always looking for an excuse to get rid of the people who don’t think the way they do. There doesn’t have to be a real reason. Anything will do. And they they attack and destroy.

Far as I can tell there is no bigger echo chamber than FaceBook and Twitter...
They are by design set up to show folks only what they want to see and hear.
Somebody should interview the owner of the used car dealer in Wisconsin, or the bar in Milwaukee that were burnt and ask them what they think about the attack their business faced versus the “attack” on the capital.

Some here warned that this was not just about Trump's job, it was about the Republic, well here we are. We warned that Sessions, Wray and Barr were deep staters and we were told we would have to eat crow when they delivered the goods. We were regularly told all that negative thinking was out of place here, well where will it be in place now? No where, positive thinking only but only if it is the right positive thinking.

These “echo chambers” wouldn’t exist if twitter and facebook weren’t political and kicking off conservatives.
Forget who is saying it, or their motives.
It is clear that the internet has been broken for quite some time by the ability of people to live in their own information bubble. The technological innovations to do that simply broaden the scope of bubbles, and recent purges of folks from Facebook and Twitter make that even worse.
And I do t use either yet I’m open to political violence
I’m unaware of anything historically this significant being settled by talking.
