I hate to break the news to you, but if you go back and read FR threads from the 2008 presidential primaries after Fred Thompson dropped out, you will find PLENTY of comments from "conservative patriots" on here saying they were willing and eager to vote for Mitt Romney over Giuliani, McCain, and Huckabee.
And if you go back and read FR threads from the aborted 2014 attempt to primary U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, you will find PLENTY of comments from "conservative patriots" on here saying they were willing and eager to vote for Liz Cheney over "RINO" Mike Enzi, as it was "time for him to go".
I just resurrected one of those old pro-Liz Cheney threads myself today.
History revisionism won't change that fact.
