Contrary to popular belief, there is “a thing”/call known as (Muslim) Ummah so Shia/Sunni divide from a true spiritual sense is not that wide, especially fighting against “the Great Satan” which Shia labeled the West/US.

Biggest mistake of his presidency and Bush made the same one when he didn’t go into Iran after taking out Saddam. (tho from what I’ve read, Bush wanted to but was advised against it).
