Didn’t mean to imply you were cop hater. Was just commenting about others who actually do hate the cops who have basically said so in this forum. But folks are all trying to second
D guess the cops when the cops did exactly what they were supposed to do. People on drugs are z.ways a very serious threat, even when it appears they have passed out. They can come to at any moment and if they aren’t still being restrained, th re y can inflict a lot of damage. Its happened over and over again. Skinny little punks on crap like pop can take several police to retrain, and don’t forget, George was a very large man.
We will just have to disagree about whether the cops did the right thing by restraining him till he was taken by the paramedics. If he had come to, unrestrained except for handcuffs, and had a burst of energy and attacked bystanders, and killed dsomeone, or the police, the cops who took him down would have held reasonable for that too.
It was a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation, but they responded exactly how they are trained to handle drug addled people, especially .are potentially dangerous people who are freaking out
