The Trump administration is expected to issue new guidelines Tuesday to expand COVID-19 vaccination eligibility to everyone age 65 and older in the U.S. in an effort to accelerate the nation’s lagging vaccine distribution, The New York Times reports.
So far, more than 25.4 million doses have been distributed across the country, with nearly 9 million people receiving the first shot of the two-dose vaccine, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That’s a significant shortfall from the Trump administration’s estimate last year that 20 million people would receive the shot before the end of 2020.
As the number of COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths soar across the country, federal health officials are now expected to recommend the vaccines be administered to all adults with pre-existing conditions that make them more likely to experience serious illness from the coronavirus. Vaccines are currently being distributed only to people in high-risk groups, including health care workers, elderly people in nursing homes and other frontline workers.
The administration is reportedly planning to ramp up the number of sites where people can be vaccinated.

Get’r done. spank these recalcitrant inept governors into action. People can do their part, I sent emails to all 3 local news stations saying we have the message, wear masks, not start reporting the number o daily vaccinations. They hesitate because I illustrates the ineffectiveness of big government.
It’s about damn time someone mentioned Covid...
I remember that a General was task with distribution and vaccine would be in place in all areas within a few hours...What the hell happened?
Anecdotally I read many people are refusing to take an experimental injection of lab developed nano particles of a computer model Virus protein intended to artificially and permanently reprogram the human immune system.
But hey ....
Only 1/3 of the vaccines currently in state hands have been given, only 1/3.
“Recommend” I can live with - “Forced” is what is coming.
RE: Trump administration to recommend COVID-19 vaccinations for all Americans over 65
The keyword is RECOMMEND, not FORCE.

My wife & I got our shots yesterday AM. We live in western CO … it was by appointment at a county clinic … we were in & out in less than an hour including the 15 minute wait time after the shot … ours was the Moderna version of the vaccine. A little discomfort on my upper left arm where the shot was applied 24 hours ago. Otherwise, up to this point a non-event. Second shot in early February.
My wife and I are 67. We’re not gettin’ it.
Everybody dies. This is just one risk. But we trust in the Great Healer. It’s why we don’t carry health insurance of any kind, except Medicare A, which you get whether you want it or not.

No matter....NY and Ca have their own Covid vaccine timeline...including making sure prisoners get theirs.
The general is still trying to work out "diversity" goals and "hate" speech rules first.
You need people to give the shots. And those people shouldn’t have to work 24/7. We’re doing fine. It’s the interference from people like Cuomo with his own schedule on who to do when.
I don’t believe this is true. We’ll see.
My exact experience...I took the Moderna vaccine in Crestview, FL yesterday morning. Although a long line for the drive-thru shots, I was in and out, including 15 minutes after wait, in about an hour. I have a Feb 8th appt for the final dose.
