It accurately portrays the history of DC; not this rabble-induced ranting we are reading about here!
I hope you realize he was JUST referring to my description of the day(s) of burning in 1968 in Comment #159, not the whole history of DC. He$$ and I both witnessed this frightening period in person. Where I was at the time looters were also running past the house with boxes of booze and other loot carried on their heads as we prayed they would not try to break into where we were staying. We were also filling the bathtub with water to fight any fire, and bringing boards, nails, and hammer to the main floor to barricade windows if any were broken. Fortunately private homes were mostly not touched, even those of white people living in predominantly black blocks.
