German Chancellor Angela Merkel considers it “problematic” that Twitter would toss President Trump off its social media platform, saying through a spokesmen Monday that the president’s ability to express his opinion is a fundamental right of “elementary significance.”
“This fundamental right can be intervened in, but according to the law and within the framework defined by legislators — not according to a decision by the management of social media platforms,” Merkel spokesman Steffen Seibert told reporters in Berlin.
“Seen from this angle, the chancellor considers it problematic that the accounts of the U.S. president have now been permanently blocked,” he added.

A German would probably know fascism when he sees it.
When an ex communist affiliated with the East German STASI calls you on coercive control of information you have really over played your hand and jumped the shark.
“Who are all these pest vermin in Warsaw— in the way” It is problematic.... “find a Solution” Ve haf trains, and cattlecars.
Yes, Merkel, a real Ostie neo Marxist/Fascist recognizes the “problem” for a dissipating German run EU and the remains of the EU.
I was just going say that she’s an ex communist too
Other countries’ leaders are getting a cold chill from what they’re seeing happening in America now with Internet NGOs.
They know such axes can swing in different directions, depending on the political winds.
They are right to be very concerned.
Even for Angela, a born and raised East German communist, this is over the top.
Sometimes it takes one to know one.
It’s problematic for me too.
Not so sure of the “ex” part of ex communist.
Merkel may identify as a HE, and she wouldnt need any hormone injections.
The EU passed the link tax and meme ban awhile back.
EU countries already know.
Take note, Germany. Time may come when you’ll be called on to return the favors.
We should be too. Leftist in and out of government are getting people fired for attending a rally in Washington while lionizing Antifa and BLM.
They are pushing passing laws labeling their political opposition as Domestic Terrorists to have them subject to confiscation of firearms and arrest.
They are openly debating mandatory re education.
Good morning,
I just saw this notation on a sidebar story when I clicked on it:
“Pulled on 01/11/2021 10:56:13 AM PST by Admin Moderator, reason:
twitter not welcomed”
I just had to say I am so damned proud of you folks for standing up to the leftist tyranny!
God Bless You all!!!
And there’s the Bertelsmann Arvato thing...
I have to put something straight. You are totally wrong!
She is no communist! She is actually conservative in the whole way of German politics.
Her father, a pastor went from West Germany to minister in East. When everybody tried to run away! That’s bravery!
The whole family was persecuted during the communist era.
I many way I admire her.
That said, she runs the “German first” politics, trying to run the EU with hard fist, assuring that Germany dominates. So she disagreed with Trump.
Of course, from her view Obama, who just apologized to everybody and gave away everything, was preferable to Trump!
Any many independently mined EU members do not like her because she tries to dominate them!
She does whatever she thinks is the best for Germany. Made some mistakes, created some problems.
I personally do not like her, but calling her communist is absolutely wrong!
One of my dad's sisters went before the war to Leipzig for a job. She med and married her husband and they had had a son. My aunt had a daughter out of wedlock. Before the Iron Curtain came up they were allowed to visit relatives in West Germany. I remember my aunt visiting us with my cousin Barbara two or three times. The last times they did, both my cousin and I were 16 years old.
Then the East Germans under the order of Ulbricht built the Berlin Wall to keep the East Berliners and East Germans in.
My parents used to send care packages several times to them especially before Christmas so my aunt could bake cookies for Christmas. They also included Bananas and Oranges which they could not get in Leipzig
I banned myself from Twitter, as I don’t want to have anything to do with them.
