Good. Many businesses are built on Amazon web services so they are all at risk. That said, AWS isn't the only alternative so Amazon will surely argue that they can't comprise a trust if there is competition on the open market. But their action to actually shut down a business capriciously argues against the just being an honest broker in an open market I'd think.

But I'm neither a lawyer or a tech billionaire so what do I know?

The main other alternatives with the requisite data centers are Google and Microsoft. I don’t think either will host Parler as well.

Parler should emulate Gab, build your own data center. Of course it’s easier said than done. This requires lots more money to organize and set up.

More than those who are lawyers and members of Congress

Absolutely right. Amazon's decision to kick Parler out should terrify every company that is making use of AWS.

And thats the bigger point - these cloud service companies should not be allowed to just cut a customer off on a whim. Typically the Master Service Agreements have clauses around cancellation or termination for both parties and havent seen one that stipulates less than a 90 day notice of termination.

There's probably a "good use" clause that would trigger termination as well as a dispute resolution clause also. If they didn't have this in the MSA (I doubt it though) then Parler made a huge mistake. If they did then they have a legal case against Amazon.

The suit says Amazon has somehow made it so no one else will touch them.

Now, if there is pressure on ICANN—who assigns domain name themselves—on banning Conservative domain names, then it could get very ugly.
