GM unveils new logo to emphasize its pivot to electric vehicles

General Motors debuted a new logo meant to convey the automaker’s renewed commitment to the production and sale of electric vehicles. The company is also launching a new marketing campaign to underscore that commitment, as it seeks to compete with Tesla and other automakers that are rushing new EVs to market.

It’s been about a decade since GM has last tweaked its logo, but this update represents the starkest change in the company’s 113-year history. The most obvious change is the use of a lowercase “gm” in the logo, after previously only using capital letters. The underline has been shortened to just the “m,” in a nod to the company’s recently announced Ultium electric vehicle battery and platform.

Remember back in the ‘70s when America tried to go metric?

Bunch of fools. They will justifiably cease to exist.
Electric cars are just toys in the real world.
Worse for the environment when you consider all the chemicals.

But here is the real kicker. They are worthless in a real cold Climate. Everyone in the top half of the country will be stuck at home all winter if they have an electric car.

Imagine it is zero outside. you drive 5 miles down the road. Your battery dies and you freeze to death.

“If Democrats fain power permanently beyond 2022, everyone will be driving electric cars soon.”
****************************************************
Actually, there will be fewer cars and there will be times when electricity to charge the electric cars is available only at VERY high price.

They already said if they converted everybody to buy electric cars trucks and buses there is not enough electricity to charge them all!!

This reminds me of one of the times we were in La Quinta. There are long, long streets, and you have to go aways to get anywhere. We witnessed a Tesla driving with ALL THE WINDOWS DOWN. It was 110 degrees outside, and this ‘wonderful’ electric car was driving very fast, with all the windows down. I finally realized what must have been happening. If they were ‘low’ on energy, they could not turn on the air conditioning. It would use up too much energy and the car would have stopped. With a gasoline powered car, one can literally ‘pour’ energy into the car by filling up with gasoline. Not so with electric cars.

“Remember back in the ‘70s when America tried to go metric?”

Yes ! Canada was hit hardest !

Trudeau la Tapette 1.0 told us we had to switch to metric because USA was doing it.

Then we had to switch because USA wasn’t doing it !

Just think, someone made a boatload of money coming up with the idea of writing GM in lowercase.

I call: ford, ibm, bmw, usa

Lots of companies will be in that position as Biden implements his promised end to “shareholder capitalism”.

Looks closer to Chinese. Doesn’t China own a large part of GM? China has Hummer, right?

One purpose of going all electric, which requires a huge investment in power generation and distribution- thus raising prices and taxes is to kill the suburbs, and the traditional middle class lifestyle with it. Also going all electric reduces freedom of movement.

They want the Proles in the cities where they can be controlled.

The Capitol District will have what it wants while you eat printed food from lab grown proteins.

Just being optimistic.
