Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on Sunday called on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment.
The announcement comes as a growing number of Congressmembers have called for President Donald Trump to be removed from office.
Below is the text of a letter Pelosi sent to her Democrat collogues:
Dear Democratic Colleague,
On this Sunday, as we pray that God will continue to Bless America, I write to inform you of our next actions, which will be made with the great solemnity that this moment requires.
I want to call to your immediate attention the action to be taken tomorrow morning, when Majority Leader Hoyer will request Unanimous Consent to bring up the Raskin resolution. This resolution calls on the Vice President to convene and mobilize the Cabinet to activate the 25th Amendment to declare the President incapable of executing the duties of his office, after which the Vice President would immediately exercise powers as acting President. The text of the resolution can be found here.
If we do not receive Unanimous Consent, this legislation is planned to be brought up on the Floor the following day. We are calling on the Vice President to respond within 24 hours.
Next, we will proceed with bringing impeachment legislation to the Floor.
In protecting our Constitution and our Democracy, we will act with urgency, because this President represents an imminent threat to both. As the days go by, the horror of the ongoing assault on our democracy perpetrated by this President is intensified and so is the immediate need for action.
I look forward to our Caucus call tomorrow. I am grateful to all Members for the suggestions, observations and input that you have been sending. Your views on the 25th Amendment, 14th Amendment Section 3 and impeachment are valued as we continue. I am answering your communications in chronological order and will do so into the night.

She tried a similar usurpation of powers as she instructed the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Milley, to remove the nuclear codes from PDJT.
Her Constitutional subversion and a conspiratorial coup attempt show clear sedition. Since we’re in a digital war and a state of emergency, I think it qualifies for treason.
Someone on her side should stuff her stupidity down her throat. Unfortunately, everyone on her side is just as stupid as she is.
I doubt Pence will do it. He does not want to be known as the guy who stabbed Julius Caesar in the backToo late. He already did it

Just heard on CNN that VP Pence has no plans to go along with the 25th amendment route.
Nazi Pelosi may come out of this being the biggest loser.

No one in the .gov will follow Trump’s orders now. He is done.
He was Trump’s VP.
Pence’s career is over no matter what. The GOP will black list anyone who worked with Trump for a long time.
Not saying some won’t come back, but at Pence’s age I doubt it. Not to mention that he is to high profile, and calling in the Guard on his boss won’t play well the next time around.
It is like Rush Limbaugh said the last couple of days he was on the air. They do not simply want him out of office. They want him destroyed, humiliated, and his political coffin on display for all to see that this is what happens to those who do not follow the desires of the Deep state and the Swamp.
And so far, it looks like they will be successful.
The only question is how far down the purges will go. I am afraid it will go down to the granular level (you and I).

He is running Russia as a near benevolent dictatorship and is doing a great job for the Russian people. You ought to see him dress down his ministers for their incompetency. I think Trump will get them in military tribunals. He didn’t spend 200 million to expand it to sit empty.
If he contests the 25th amendment and the impeachment, can his team put on a defense that would include all the election fraud evidence and declassified documents?
