I think this stuff is at the Pollyanna level now.
We had people rally at the Capitol. They were waved in by law enforcement, who helpfully moved barriers aside. The protesters carefully walked in between the velvet ropes as they proceeded into the government building.
Overall assessment is that some protesters (probably ANTIFA infiltrators) did a few thousand dollars in damages. And one government employee shot a woman in the neck and killed her.
Pretty much everyone in America condemns this depraved violence. I’m told it’s the worst civil disturbance in our nation’s history. It seems to have justified a massive crackdown and purge of all Trump supporters from social media. It has fueled the call for both a Second Impeachment and also the use of the 25th Amendment.
You think Democrats are scared?
You think Patriots feel emboldened?
You think Patriots feel more comfortable expressing their anger?
You think the media feels any compulsion to be honest and even-handed?
There isn’t going to be any sort of accounting and this ship isn’t going to turn around any time soon.
Nancy Pelosi thought that Donald Trump’s first impeachment wouldn’t hurt the Democrats. But the Democrats had a net loss of about 10 House seats, pending one election in New York that hasn’t been decided. This push for impeaching Trump for a second time proves Democrats aren’t scared. But Democrats do make mistakes that can cost them.
This whole thing is a Shakesperian play directed by Donald J. Trump. He wants the cabal to take off their masks so the American people will finally understand what is going on. And oh how it is happening. The kray kray is on display. I don’t think too many people are going to be that upset when the President puts a stop to this nonsense and restores order.
You know I was thinking when referencing the velvet ropes that maybe if they would have opened one door for the people to just walk through guided to an exit door maybe it wouldn’t have been as bad. I think the police could have handled the bad actors or anyone getting out hand right away.
