ARIZONA, USA — The Arizona man who was pictured wearing horns and face paint during the storming of the U.S. Capitol has been arrested, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office. Jacob Anthony Chansley, also known as Jake Angeli, has been charged in federal court for his involvement in the riots and is in federal custody.
The press release said Chansley and two others are now being prosecuted by the attorney's office and investigated by the FBI’s Washington Field Office and the United States Capitol Police. Chansley, a resident of Phoenix, was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, the press release said.
First, they’d have to prove he “broke in” and didn’t just walk in though an already open door. He’s basically a trespasser. If they throw the book at him, how long does he get? If it’s longer than the punishment for similar crimes, I would imagine he could appeal.
I don’t feel bad for the guy, but people posting at other sites are demanding execution or life in prison for these people. I don’t think they understand.

Witnesses are no doubt concerned about coming forward for fear of retribution.
Ultimately, my point concerns the absence of rioting where the aforementioned issues should be the only concern. I’m aware of the other unfortunate medical emergencies.
