(Also, you may not know that television in the modern era does use brainwashing techniques. The modern graphics—”news” as well as advertising—use alternating left/right and up/down motion to hypnotize the viewer. That stuff should be banned for sure!)

Actually, this is a good thing. First, they have a decent web page - so who needs cable? More to the point, it would be serious overreach which might even outrage some of the few remaining free-speech liberals. It would appear to be Orwellian to all but the hard core dems.
We would all love the backlash. Conservatives will find new paths to communicate. We’re not going away or going to shut up. Hopefully, this would all crescendo on the eve of the 2022 elections.

More and more people are leaving the big cable companies anyway. This would just accelerate the departures. Who needs 1000 channels when you only watch a few.
