Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) said in a video statement Thursday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is trying to “steal” Iowa’s Second Congressional District from Rep. Marianne Miller-Meeks (R-IA).
Even though Iowa state officials have certified that Republican Miller-Meeks defeated Democrat Rita Hart by six votes in Iowa’s Second Congressional District, Hart filed a petition to the House Administration Committee to overturn the election results. This has drawn the ire of Iowa Republicans, including Hinson.

Have a recount. Carefully monitored, of course. 6 votes isn’t much, but if she had been a Dem, believe me, they would have recounted until she won.
However, in this case and in this state, they might be six legitimate and undeniable votes and the GOPer is the winner.
Hmmmm, guess there is “certified” and then there is “certified”, depending on the letter after their name (R or D).

If Pelosi wants the seat, she and the democrats can take it. The Constitution says that each house is the ultimate judge of its elections. They can seat the democrat regardless of ‘certification’ and there is nothing Miller-Meeks or the Republicans can do about it.
