The Oregon Health Authority’s vaccine advisory committee is still working to decide who will be included in the next phases of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
The committee — which is not in charge of vaccine distribution — has been asked to focus on health equity by ensuring the vaccines get to those who have been disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.
No concrete decisions were made Thursday about who is next in line for the vaccine; however, teachers are expected to be prioritized next.

If you can stand it watch the news video. About half way in it comes to the committee choosing their word of the day. One member chose colonization.
Did they already vaccinate everyone over 75? Over 60? Until then, I’m not sure why they are confused or wondering who next.
Remember, it is the masks stupidity that drives their thought processes. So, there’s your answer.
So rather than getting the vaccine out there to people so the disease can stop spreading, they’ve decided instead to sit on the vaccine doses they have while they endlessly debate the most perfect, most just, most wonderful rollout plan of all time.
If those idiots can’t figure it out, they need to just ship it to CVS and let the general public start making appointments.

Because the Party Line is constantly shifting, on who is the most aggrieved special interest. Who is the most politically correct priority? (Public health is secondary, if even that.) Is a black lesbian trumped by a Native American transgender? How about loyal Party apparatchiks, who are just cis-gendered whites?
The consequences of choosing incorrectly, can be complete cancellation. When the purges accelerate, such inaction will become the norm.
Start with people over 75
What about all those poor besieged citizens in the CHOP/CHAZ area? They need vaccinated too!!
I’m 76. Fortunately, I’ve been a hospital volunteer for 15 years. I will be getting the first Moderna shot next week.
Glad to know that at least one person in the most logical profile group is going to be vaccinated!

One of my daughters, who is an intensive care RN, recently got her first Moderna shot. Her advice is to get the shot in the non-dominant arm as the area of her shot became temporarily very sore. Of course that’s a good thing as it indicates an active immune response.
“Equity” and “disproportionately” in the same sentence. These are the people in charge now.
Thank you, good advice. Some of my fellow hospital volunteers have already received the vaccine. So far, everyone is doing fine. Most of us are “ladies of a certain age” ;-)
Flame away. Overall, women are poor choice decision makers. They are good at talking, inclusion, and feelings. Bad at executive decisions. Leftarded men are also the same way.

Half the states have officially said “diversity” determines who gets the vaccine, not actual risk.
