Two months after the 2020 presidential election, less than a day after Congress certified the Electoral College results, and facing increasing pressure to resign, Donald Trump finally admitted on Thursday that he had lost and would not serve a second term.
“Now Congress has certified the results. A new administration will be inaugurated on January 20th,” Trump said in a two-minute video posted to his Twitter feed. “My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power.”
He did not mention the name of the man who defeated him, President-elect Joe Biden. There has been no indication from the White House that Trump has, or intends to, call Biden to concede. But the president’s remarks were a stark contrast to statements he made on Wednesday, when he encouraged tens of thousands of his followers to head to the U.S. Capitol to disrupt the joint session of Congress in which lawmakers were voting on certifying the Electoral College returns. Trump had sought to block that certification, and a mob of more than 1,000 of his supporters clashed with police, broke windows and stormed into the Capitol, halting the proceedings for hours. Four people died during the melee.
Trump began his latest video by addressing what he called the “heinous attacks” on the Capitol.

It is as if the President is using double entendre. What is he saying? Why do they want to get rid of him before the inauguration?
I hope he means a transition to the short Pence administration. It would prevent the planned second impeachment and cheese off the Dems. Trump could then skip the Biden inauguration, find something more pleasant to do that day, like plan his 2024 campaign.
Dems would have to retool all the memorabilia calling Biden the 46th president, too. :)

We can do this all night. It comes down to one thing. Do you think the election, Presidency, and effectively our freedom was stolen or not? If yes, all bets are off because the ones you will be counting on to rectify the situation are the one’s who stole it.

Yes, the election was stolen. Going into the Capitol building was not going to get it unstolen. They do not hear us.
I can see why after the riots and entering state and federal buildings were ignored all summer by law enforcement and encouraged by politicians, that patriots thought there would be no issues with going inside the capitol. Breaking things, not their property, is criminal.
Maybe you’re right. I hope so. Maybe not. People lie, cheat, and steal and get away with it all the time. Is that God’s will too? Or do evil-doers just get off scot-free and never learn any lesson other than to do what you need to in order to get what you want.
