I am not sure this is true. I did see a police presence outside but to actually lock them in their room deserves some lawsuits

On OAN they showed a woman video taping the police outside the hotel steps not allowing anyone to leave. It seemed she had access to at least the lobby. I don’t know if the condition changed later.

Not in their rooms, but in the building. Which is still illegal. Mindy Robinson posted it, and she has video.

This is not getting media attention it deserves...@MayorBowser had the @DCPoliceDept physically lock Trump supporters into their hotels in DC last night. This was HIGHLY dangerous, unconstitutional, and never done during Antifa riots.@realDonaldTrump @FoxNews @OANN @newsmax pic.twitter.com/HSJzsvLU1Mβ€” Mindy Robinson πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ (@iheartmindy) January 7, 2021

There is no way to do this unless something is installed or placed outside the door to prevent it from being opened from the inside. This would be placing people in a death trap so no police force would ever do this.
