No, first they hated Trump based on policy. He promised to kill trillion dollar trade deals that swampers would skim billions off of, build the wall, etc. The personal animosity came later when he counter punched.

[Nice Republic, while it lasted......]

Western Civilization.

It was fun while it lasted.

The world will have 3rd world status - world-wide. Western Civilization is being destroyed by Leftists. Those enabling them will wake up - too late.

No the freaking anti Trump people are the ones that destroyed the nation .

This can piss off now too because they insured that the democrats will always control this nation by approving voter fraud.

They let us know exactly how they feel about the base.

Eventually the dems are just going to lock up the frilly tutus up too and sorry but real American are going to be suffering to much to give a damn .

Nobody will ever vote for them again .
Those ratty chickens can just pluck off and anyone that tries to justify them .

My theory is that Trump knew all along that he wouldn’t overturn the election, but fighting it all the way would keep his base with him.

I think that was the correct strategy, he may have lost a few supporters by doing this, but he would have lost a lot more if he simply conceded so soon after the election. I believe his base is for the most part still with him. That probably explains why it appears the Republicans tapped the brakes on working with the Democrats to remove him, they know his base is still solidly in his corner, despite all efforts of the media.

The last gasp of our republic.

My sincere, heartfelt apologies to the Founders. You warned us. And we failed you.

“... If he was that man for his four years we would still have him as a president.”

I just have to respectfully disagree here. There is a plan in place. Obama carried that plan. and Hillary was to continue. DJT threw a giant wrench into the workings of that plan. He could have been the exact kind of president you think he should have been, but if that included being America-First, he was never going to be re-elected. Did they hate him for his rhetoric? Sure. But they hated him infinitely greater for his attempts, and even successes, to unravel that plan and at the very least delay it 4 years. This is why Paul Ryan-types set roadblocks and sabotaged him at every turn , this is why The Russian Hoax happened, This is why a virus with 99.7% survival rate was exploited, this is why people were locked down and this is why he was not re-elected. There was always going to be a steal. They had four years to plan it.

It’s a sad state when the people he duped don’t have a clue for the enmity he has for them.

Still trying to kick that meth habit, huh?

When he first got elected he said he was going to be a boring president and we would see a change in him.

Interestingly, he WAS a "boring" president by most historical measures.

He didn't start any stupid wars, he issued executive orders that were explicitly confined to the limits imposed on the President under Federal law, and he did everything as President that Congress required. Even some moves that I thought were totally inconsequential -- like relocating the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem -- were done because that's what Congress mandated (in this case 22 years before he was elected, while none of his predecessors had any interest in doing it).

He never even had a veto overridden until last week.

His biggest "crime" was that he exposed this country's political leaders as a bunch of feckless frauds. They could never forgive him for that.

In retrospect, the highlight of his political career may have taken place even before he was elected. Go back and watch a full clip of the infamous Alfred E. Smith dinner in New York City in October 2016. His treatment of the crooked politicians in attendance was so dismissive that you'd think they were nothing more than piles of dog sh!t to be avoided while you walk down the sidewalk. Chuck Schumer looked like a whipped dog, sitting there with his thumb up his @ss while Trump explained to the audience how he had spent years basically bribing Schumer when Trump was a real estate developer.

If he was that man for his four years we would still have him as a president.

You do realize that he got far more votes than any sitting president has ever gotten before, right? You also realize that the Democrats had to massively cheat to beat him, right?

Exactly...but since they hate businessmen...he is doubly hated. As long as they keep their delusion that THEY are the power that runs this country and they get their perks and salaries they don’t really care. Little ole chuckie schumer tried to sow the wind over scotus...he got a small taste of the whirlwind.

When Trump was “that man”, you realize the media would never show it?

Literally everyday in every media room their meetings consisted solely of trying to figure out how to show Trump in the worst possible light for that day.
