....reminded me of what happened in the book "Unintended Consequences". Average people began taking out the politicians, rather than some grand war.

I went to look up the book which seems to be by John Ross published in 1996. If so, that book is $90-$100 used on ABEbooks!

Really sounds good. Someone should reprint it. Wikipedia has an article about the book.

a few good laughs couldn’t hurt right about now...>>>>>>>>>>>

Today a reporter form OAN asked Kamala Harris a softball question:

” How did it feel Vice President Harris, when mayor Willie Brown was packing your suitcase and your ass as well?”

A friend of mine’s parents moved back to Spain last year. I’m not sure exactly what part they are living in. They live in a 4 bedroom apartment 4 blocks from the ocean. Their cost of living is way less than what it was here.

I don’t believe our current Constitution and Bill of Rights can survive. Yesterday, for example Michelle Obama called for DJT’s social media accounts be banned for live. I can give plenty of other examples, but here’s why.

One, Our constitutional free republic is based upon its citizens believing in a higher calling. A basic adherence to the laws greater than man. A God fearing citizenry is on the decline.

Two, Demographics. A democratic society relies on its citizens to be somewhat intelligent. With the constant influx of immigrants from third world countries around the world, and reproducing from within, there is no way these people can self govern. How did our Constitution work out for the country of Liberia?

I am thankful to God that I grew up in an America where I was able to live under the freedom the Constitution guaranteed.

That time is gone. The youth of today will never know that.

That's the one. Its long, and there's some fluff in it, but pretty decent.
There is a Charles Schumer analogue in the book that suffers an ignomious fate.

For those who have not seen this video. It’s very interesting and worthy of sending to everyone, IMO.

“exposing the corruption” is what Trump must do — quickly — of at least the leaders of the successful (so far) coup of the past four years. These plotters simply must pay a steep price for their sedition.

I always wondered if someday Chuck would lecture a group of his lowly subjects, eyebrows up, peering haughtily over his half-rim glasses tilting forward while presenting his rear end as a target. For a kick or worse from behind.

"Your comment reminded me of what happened in the book "Unintended Consequences""

Do you perhaps know the author's name? There are many books with that name.

I believe Sweden just did a complete 180 and said they were wrong to have left freedom in place. Shutdowns save lives, like it or not.

Spain has amazing food and super low rents. Even the so-called destination beaches along the med are super affordable if you don’t require ocean views. I just prefer the Atlantic coast of Spain and France.... less foreign tourists, though Portugal is also super affordable. I will prob live in central europe to be closer to family and buy a property to rent out at times. The other thing that isn’t a huge burden in Europe is property taxes. I am frankly shocked at the number of Americans who lose homes that aren’t worth much, over property tax bills that are much too high for the income average in certain areas.

It’s true they are trying to pass some government measures that would give the government power to enact some lockdown measures.

My point stands... so-called socialist Sweden had very decentralized powers, non of which lay in the federal hands. Their attitude has always been, fend for yourself.
