U.S. Senator Josh Hawley, a Missouri Republican at the forefront of a bid to block congressional certification of the Electoral College vote, is largely to blame for “inspiring one of the most heartbreaking days in modern American history,” his home-state newspaper’s editorial board wrote.

The scathing editorial was published on Wednesday on the home page of the Kansas City Star under the headline: “Assault on democracy: Sen. Josh Hawley has blood on his hands in Capitol coup attempt.”

Brief excerpt only. The article is a pathetic hit piece on Sen. Hawley as published in the KC Star - a news rag almost out of business. Major BARF alert.

A number of years ago, I would have been very angry after reading about something like this. But now, I just sit back and have a chuckle about these people and the way they lecture in this sort of manner when we all know their position is based so much on false pretenses it is laughable right then and there.

You mean when antifa planned the breach of the Capital building with local law enforcement and the dems?

Patriots were in the area but the lawbreakers were Antifa and government officials.

There will be too many hit pieces about conservatives, everywhere and everyday, very soon. The Leftist Propaganda Machine will be working overtime and for the long term.

Where has the outrage and condemnation of all the riots for the past year. Hell, they won’t even call them a Riot. It a liberal riots, they are protestors. Even if they burn, destroy, occupy, and yes kill. Look at the Portland riots and occupy movements.
Who did not see this coming. Watching all the acceptance of riots by the left, it was a matter of time before the right would attempt the same tactics.
Even last night would anyone nationwide be aware of yet again riots in Portland with burning and destruction and still be labeled as a protest.
So much for the Summer of Love, the Portland mayor stated.
Every time the Feds. Went in to try and control the riots. The left screamed it was a overreach, a use of power and let it go and to leave.

The Star has never been a Hawley supporter. Having said that, what happened yesterday hasn’t done Hawley’s 2024 presidential campaign any favors.

Part of Antifa’s job was to rile up as many as possible Patriots to go with them, under false pretenses. They created the “insurrection”, and egged on others to go with them, which is highly illegal.

To say something is illegal means a specific statute has been violated.

The statute must be named in the indictment.

WHO FIRED THE SHOT? The guy was in a dark suit. Appeared to be wearing his wristwatch on his right wrist... fired directly at the woman through a glass window. WHO WAS HE? He wasn’t a uniformed officer.

I argue that the assault on democracy has been abetted by the American media, and the Kansas City Star has blood on ItS hands.

A few broken windows after 75 million Trump voters were disenfranchised in an election stolen in a biparitsan manner is nothing. Have we become a nation of snowflakes? Apparently, yes.
