President Donald Trump publicly acknowledged that he would leave office on January 20 for the first time Thursday, pledging an orderly transfer of power after Congress affirmed President-elect Joe Biden's Electoral College win.
"Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th," Trump said in the statement, repeating false claims he has made throughout the last two months. "I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it's only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again."

Excellent!
He didn’t concede.
Now he has every right to wash his hands of 'history'.
President Trump promised this when he took the oath of office.
Let’s count how many times BiteMe violates his oath while in office, Xi-nn
The last time we know for sure a presidential election was stolen it did not end so well for the “victor”. Karma is a bitch.
WTH more do you expect at this point? The cards have been played. This is called putting country above self.
What do you eat to go this manic?
Its corpse washed up on the shore.
Nothing left to do except bow out gracefully and try something new.
Not his fault, we know he did not lose. Yesterday’s storm of the capitol, also not his fault. IMO, it was a false flag, with a few patriots whose emotions got them to go along with the mob. They used antifa AGAIN, and put us in the hot seat when we were not really there.
That pic right there more than exemplifies why the Founding Fathers excluded women from politics/govt....nough said.
I agree. Suckerberg placed those ballot boxes. Next time, we stuff them!
I refuse to believe Trump wanted the mess that happened yesterday to happen despite people here continuing to advocate for it.
I will always believe he wanted a sea of his supporters standing on the steps showing support to those that were going through the political process set forth by the US Constitution. He wanted a compare and contrast.
Unfortunately, what he wanted got hijacked. Yes, Antifa was involved. But so were Trump supporters for whatever reason
It’s not his fault..but he will most certainly get the blame.
IMHO Trump was ordered to stand down or they would remove him via the 25th Amendment that afternoon.
While being certain that agents provocateurs (probably antifa) led the violence and breakin at the Capitol, the Trump protestors fell for it and were sucked in by the craziness. Bottom line is there is now an illegitimate government in Washington and an illegal deep state of cunning plotters all of whom seek to enrich themselves and crush the governed. For government to be fair and effective, the governed must consent. That requirement is no longer met in America. The destruction of our elections was so complete America will never recover. There will never be credibilty in elections again. The American republic has been overthrown and the Constitution, courts, legislature and executive branch all subverted.
Know that the powers of darkness and communist anarchy will not be satisfied with this subversion. They are well funded and will persevere with a genuine revolution. That is the pattern of history.
The Republic has fallen.
This is only phase one. The radical Left has big plans, and they are no longer restrained by elections or law.
...just like with the couple in Minnesota...
I'm not familiar with them. What's the story?
I keep thinking of the Boston Massacre in 1700. John Adams defended the British troops and commander charged with murder. Two of the soldiers were convicted of manslaughter and “branded on the thumbs” because it was their first offence.
With history as a guide, their first order of business will be to confiscate our firearms.
“ ... if he starts a mass exodus from the gop where everybody registered independent that’s a good start... “
