Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) called on President Trump to concede his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden, saying he should "quit misleading" the American people.
“It’s past time for the president to accept the results of the election, quit misleading the American people, and repudiate mob violence,” Cotton said in a statement Wednesday evening.
“And the senators and representatives who fanned the flames by encouraging the president and leading their supporters to believe that their objections could reverse the election results should withdraw those objections,” he continued.
The remarks from Cotton, a key Trump ally, came hours after a mob of Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol building around 2 p.m., prompting lawmakers to evacuate and suspend their tally of the Electoral College votes certifying Biden's victory.

Amazing, given enough time how many GOPe scum will reveal themselves.
And yet the same media went to great lengths last spring and summer not to even characterize the burning, killing and looting in American cities as riots, and they sure as hell would not point the finger at the Antifa and BLM thugs that were committing the violence.
I’d say his presidential ambitions are down the toilet and flushed away. If you can’t support the Constitution, you don’t deserve any career in government at any level.

I anticipate what happened today is going to change that. Sadly, more people will likely die, but when the dust clears Trump is not going to be president. Moreover, unless something miraculous occurs he’ll almost certainly be remembered among the worst if not the very worst president in U.S. history. It didn’t have to be that way, but here we are.
Thing is, it wasn’t a riot. Those scum in Congress werejust skeered because they have betrayed the people and they are cowards.
Pretty much. Wasted precious time like the rest falling all over himself to virtue signal by denouncing the “violence”, and then gave a very weak argument for not certifying Pennsylvania. There’s been nothing of any substance in the two or three speeches that actually recommended not certifying the vote. All have spent 90% of their time trying to prove how “shocked” and “appalled” they are by the “assault on our democracy” (just to be clear, they’re not referring to the election theft, because they’re not bothered by that at all, but rather the Antifa false flag operation, I mean “Trump-inspired violence”).
A few months ago, the word “traitor” seemed over the top for all but a few who truly deserved it, but now it is clear that it fits every one of these bastards to a T.
What an utter sham this entire thing is. Can anyone honestly say after all this that they see a legal, non-violent way to get our country back on track? At this point, I would not be the least bit surprised if a bunch of these traitors publicly invited the Chinese Communists in to “partner” with them in running the country. The “domestic enemies” the federal oath speaks of are people exactly like this.
