As I’ve said many times, the Dems have become the party of multinational corporations and globalism.
Big Tech, Wall Street, and everyone at the Chamber of Commerce sees dollar signs. I know a lot of people on FR love to panic about the impending “socialism” that the Dems are bringing, but the reality is that welfare capitalism accomplishes many of the same goals as socialism for the Left....especially since you can leave a corporation in private hands yet regulate it into a box if you want.
The Corporatists don’t mind Dem control one bit.
The Democrats favor “disaster capitalism”.
That destroys small and medium size businesses (Covid, Antifa and BLM, lots of complicated regulations and mandates, high taxes for these entities and their owners) and favors the large multinational corporations (who can hide capital anywhere in the world—where governments accept the bribes—and can hire the best tax attorneys in the world).
