The two special elections for the U.S. Senate in Georgia took place on Tuesday, and at the time this story is being posted, about 91 percent of the vote is in, and the two Republican candidates lead by very slim margins. Any hopes of knowing who won on Tuesday night have been dashed, and the races are still considered too close to call. As a matter of fact, at least one county has called it a day and will resume the count in the morning:

Fewer races to count and they still can’t do the job (A) of getting ballots to the center on time and (B) getting them counted.

Actually, normally, this isn’t odd with the high number of mail-in ballots in a small Georgia county.......
However, in light of recent events and the closeness of the election, scrutiny is intense.....

Well, I can see one upside to all of this. If betting sites are still taking bets on future US elections, we can all get rich just betting on the Democrats to win every key race in every state that the media suddenly decides is a “swing state” in their coverage before their election. Free money.
Not that I expect the money to be worth all that much for very long, but we might be able to enjoy it for a bit.
