My heart bleeds.
But does it bleed purple peanut butter?
So, the tenants stopped paying rent. Then they could not be evicted because of covid-19. This resulted in the landlord declaring bankruptcy. Actions have consequences. What is it he problem?
Funny how things like that happen.
They can start with the big Rat,Deblasio, the commie.
Heh, heh. Yes.
Cleanup the garbage and you won’t have vermin around.
But that will ruin the ambience of the dwellings!
You got Rats on the West Side, Bedbugs Uptown....
If they have no cake, let them move to Connecticut
I am a lumber broker.
I watch trends in housing for a living.
People continue to exit major cities leaving landlords potentially not being able to pay their mortgages. Covid-19 rent provisions have made that worse because some renters chose to NOT pay their rent even though they had the ability. The government allowed property owners to delay paying their mortgages. The key word being DELAY. They still have to pay the mortgage including interest.
People who are able are moving to the suburbs. This is leaving landlords in places like the north side of Chicago having to drastically cut their rent to entice people to rent their condos. Some will not be able to cover the mortgage on their properties. This will result in foreclosures in the next year in many of the major cities like Chicago, NYC, SF, LA, Seattle, Portland, Hartford and others.
This has been a boom for single family homes. The US is currently building stand alone homes at the highest rate since 2007. As always, it depends on your location. Generally, people are moving out of the northeast and moving south. However, NH had the biggest gain in population of any New England state. People are leaving CT, NY, NJ & MA and moving to NH.(Hence the reason Trump lost here by 8%).
Idaho was the fastest growing state in the country in 2019 by percentage of population. They are coming from CA and WA. They are moving to Boise and Coeur D’Alene in droves.
AZ is getting people from everywhere. FL same. TX Same. In MN, WI, IL they are moving from the cities to the suburbs or country. They want to live where they feel safe walking their dog at 10pm at night.
