It is rare to see mostly white people in ads anymore. If you do, it's to offset the non-white people in the ads. First, show the white person/couple as idiots. Then show the non-white person/couple as smart.
We had the TV on a few football games during Thanksgiving week when we had out-of-state visitors. Deal lord, those commercials were brutal to watch, and they certainly weren't trying to sell their product to me or to 75+% of the country.
