He took on the ENTIRE FBI and won when he represented Richard Jewell. FBI knew Jewell was innocent, and still they crawled up his ass and stayed there harassing and threatening the poor man for months. (Jewell won, thanks to Lin Wood, but the FBI’s torture eventually brought Jewell’s life to an end.)
Again, lousy lawyer, he didn’t protect his client, he stroked his own ego and his client paid for that.
Wood didn’t represent Jewel in the criminal investigation. He came on as a civil lawyer who filed defamation cases against the media once the FBI announced they were no longer investigating Jewell.

i believe he on got settlement from Jewell’s employer, CNN, and NBC. he lost against the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
