” “We’re not going back to the Bush’s and the Cheney’s”

I wish that were true. But the Bush-Cheney Republicans are pushing Trump out the door. They just overrode his veto of the defense bill, and they are opposing any effort to get to the bottom of the voter fraud this year.

The No. 3 Republican in the House is Cheney’s daughter - even though she’s only been a congressmember for 4 years. In other words, the Bush-Cheney folks are still in charge.

They view Trump as an inconvenient interruption of their leadership, and they’re part of the plot to get him out.

Most of the Senate GOP are Busy-Cheney Republicans. Trump is about to be gone (sorry, but that’s way it looks to me), but they’re still in place, still in charge.

While I share your concern it’s good to hear a sitting congressman say this.

He isn’t alone.

There will be a battle for the soul of the party.

The flip side of this is that I don’t see the Bush-Cheney GOP cabal winning much of anything outside solid Republican districts and states. They will lose to Democrats in almost every swing state and district across the U.S.

Jeb Bush was less popular than a child molester among Republican voters in 2016. The “brand” of the globalist GOP had clearly been damaged beyond repair.
