Following the ruling, Gohmert, a Texas Republican, told Newsmax: 'But if bottom line is, the court is saying, 'We're not going to touch this. You have no remedy' - basically, in effect, the ruling would be that you gotta go to the streets and be as violent as Antifa and BLM.'
'I have not encouraged and unequivocally do not advocate for violence,' he said. 'I have long advocated for following and teach the example of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. of peaceful protest.'
'That does not keep me from recognizing what lies ahead when the institutions created by a self-governing people to peacefully resolve disputes hide from their responsibilities,' he continued.
'Violence is not the answer. The appropriate answer is courts and self-governing bodies resolving disputes as intended,' Gohmert concluded.
Gohmert's suit sought to empower Pence to overturn the results of the presidential election won by Joe Biden when Congress formally counts the Electoral College votes next week.
Pence, as president of the Senate, will oversee the session Wednesday and declare the winner of the White House race.

If there isn’t a peaceful solution OR a violent solution that keeps the radical Left out of power , then History demonstrates conclusively that there WILL be violence BY THE LEFT against all of their perceived enemies later, at a time of their choosing.
Sometimes, you face two really lousy choices...but one of them is decidedly worse than the other, so you choose that one - even if in the abstract you would never voluntarily choose to go down that road.
It seems pretty apparent to me that we, as a nation, are on the cusp of just such a lousy choice. That the other side cheated in its lustful desire to control all the rest of us, and have thus affirmatively chosen to destroy our Republic, makes the choice considerably less difficult . Not easy, mind you, just less difficult. If that choice is made, as the Founding Generation did, then there will be carnage on a scale never seen in this country before - and we know that in advance. The real choice here, the one that has been foisted upon us by a bunch of vengeful, power-hungry, tyrants, is between living in our knees or dying (and killing) on our feet.
That depends a lot on what the question is, doesn't it?
Here's a couple questions that might have a different answer:
Should the United States continue to allow slavery?
Should Adolph Hitler be allowed to take over the world?
Perhaps one can come up with examples of their own?
But why drag Free Republic into it?
They will be the biggest target.

Oh my goodness, we wouldn’t want the media to say mean things about us or tell lies about us. We want them to like us and be our friend.
The MEGA supporters should not be violent. There will be plenty of violence from Antifa/BLM terrorists who will try to infiltrate the MEGA supporters.
But MEGA supporters should be prepared to use force, even deadly force, when faced with the imminent threat of death by the violently insane and traitorous Antifa/BLM.
Don’t expect the DC police to help; they are obeisant to the traitorous Demonicrat enemy.
